Prank : What Goes Around Comes Around

Be the first to read British author, Mark A. Howell's debut novel, PRANK: What Goes Around Comes Around, released August 2010. It is a gritty, edgy, descriptive fast-paced thriller set in Doncaster, England.

Plot: What starts off as a normal night for three twenty-year-olds soon turns sinister. Parked in the middle of nowhere, they come under attack from a mysterious gunman, catapulting one of them into a frightening fight for survival. Ten years later with twenty thousand pounds burning a hole in his pocket and revenge searing a hole in his head, the main character is back in town for one thing. Payback. His plan does not work out and he spirals deeper into the hands of two malevolent Russians. Without an exit strategy, his life is now careening out of his control and ready to come crashing down.

Excerpt:"It was pitch black now, and even darker amongst the trees. It took me a while to acclimatise myself to the different noises. All around me the trees were dripping raindrops, it sounded like a bowl of rice crispies multiplied by ten, only snap and crackle had retired and there was just the sound of a thousand pops as they fell from the leaves and branches. The rain was coming down in buckets now and i was soaked. The cold wind was biting at my clothes like a police dog and i started to shiver uncontrollably."

Review: Engrossing, edge of your seat, white-knuckling thrill ride. "If you go down into the woods tonight you're sure to get a surprise. Your best mates get shot and killed and you will be runnin' for your life. What comes around, goes around."

Very good read.
