Will the world end December 21, 2012?

Will the world end Dec. 21, 2012?

Multiple unrelated sources all point to major events occurring in 2012 which will greatly impact our planet and existence. Each microsecond brings us closer to the event horizon. We must analyze the situation and prepare ourselves for the eventualities!

The Mayan calander ends on December 21st, 2012; The same date as the Winter Solstice when Earth will be in galactic alignment with the black hole at the center of our galaxy. Timewave Zero drops off of the Singularity of Novelty scale on 12/21/2012. Solar events such as the solar maximum, sunspot activity, and solar pole reversals will happen in 2012. These are all calculated and verifiable facts.

Comets, meteors, and earthquakes are predicted. Super Volcanoes are theorized as a possible source of doom for 2012. Some believe that the biblical revelations will occur in 2012 as war in the middle-east ushers in the return of Christ.

The mass-media has already begun campaigns to raise the awareness of the world to the changes which will be occurring in 2012. In fact, anything you can think of is probably in the one of 750,000 or so websites, each claiming to be the authority.

One site claims it has a classified lottery project. You can sign up for a lottery ticket. If chosen, you will be able to go to a special shelter designed to save you for the next generation of earthlings. There is even a contest to see who will be the leader of the Earth after 2012!

Yes it is exciting and scary but I remember several times in my youth hearing backwoods preachers predict the exact day for the end of the earth. The date came and went and the preachers no doubt reported that God decided to merciful and spare us a while longer.

Remember Y2K and all the problems predicted? Remember how many bought supplies to survive the possible shut down of our modern way of life? Remember how uneventful that night was? Almost a disappointment, huh?

Well, the end will come SOME day either individually or collectively, either before, on or after December 21, 2012. I hope to be with loved ones on that evening and ready for whatever may happen. Que sera sera.

Top 10 Reasons Not to Allow Healthcare Reform

With all the talk about healthcare reform, I decided to take the side of the Right Wing Lunatics who oppose healthcare reform. Why should we care about healthcare reform? Why should we care that people are dying to see a doctor? Why should we care about our fellow human beings who are less fortunate? What is really important is ME! ME! ME! ME! Hopefully, I will never be one of the those who is in dire need of it.

I came up with the Top 10 Reasons (and a bonus) to Deny Healthcare to All Americans

10.It's a form of population control.

9. To prove Darwin was right - Survival of the fittest.

8. We don't need no stinking reform. Some people aren't worth saving.

7. People will die anyway. No matter how much you do, we all end up dead in the end. Why shouldn't rich people be allowed more time? Why do poor think they deserve it?

6. Time is money. If you are wealthy enough, you can get the extra time. I think this might be the same as #7?

5. Plastic surgery will be unaffordable if all the money goes to necessary health care. How can I afford botox injections or my butt lift if I have to pay for some poor man's emergency surgery! We must have priorities.

4. Death is God's will. (I generally argue this point but this time I am the devil's advocate!) Or maybe Sara Palin's, or Newt's, or Steele's will. Will of Steele(nice ring, don't youthink?) I vote for him to be on the first Death Panel! No matter whose will, the point is, it is the will of someone important.

3. Not doing anything actually puts an end to it all! Apathy can cure anything.

2. Right Wing religious zealots rely on prayer. Shouldn't you?

1. Dead people don't need health care. We'll kill off a lot of them in the war, unemployment, and starvation anyway. That will quickly put an end to some of those pesky insurance risks.

0. We all die in 2012 anyway. What's the point?

I propose a cheap, nondiscriminatory method for healthcare. No one gets it until the poorest American is covered. With all the money saved in the mean time, we can afford it. Problem solved.

Anybody here seen my old friend Teddy? Can you tell me where he's gone?

News reports indicate the passing of a great man, Senator Edward Kennedy has left us. The common man has no friend to fight valiantly in the Senate. His noble fights for the forgotten American earned him the title of the Lion in the Senate. The lion is forever still.

He grew up in his brothers' shadow, but his star was brighter than theirs ever was. Their careers were cut short by untimely deaths but Teddy, fighting the good fight, kept going. He was the voice for civil rights, education, and equal rights in the Senate. He never forgot us!

Ted was born a man of infinite privilege. Yet, he was never ignorant of the fact that all people were not as blessed as he. His mother, Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, ever the grand, gracious lady instilled in her children the values that carried him through his life. "To whom much is given, much will be required." You were given plenty. You gave more than you ever got.

"He helped enact measures to protect civil and labor rights, expand healthcare, upgrade schools, increase student aid and contain the spread of nuclear weapons." He was praised by conservatives like McCain as being the most effective man in Senate. Simply put, his causes were always civil rights and looking out for the forgotten American.

"There's a lot to do," Kennedy told Reuters in 2006. "I think most of all it's the injustice that I continue to see and the opportunity to have some impact on it." Injustice was always his battle and also his opportunity. It mattered not that the hands were black, calloused from physical labor, or begging for a dime. Senator Kennedy took those hands. He raised it to a higher level. He made us believe in ourselves as well as others.

He did something to us mentally, too. He opened our minds to caring for our fellow human being. We were the same in Kennedy's eyes. We were a people of many races, religions, and income levels but we all had the same color of blood. We were equal to this aristocrat from Boston. His body was ravaged by cancer still he gave the fight of his life, trying to get healthcare for all Americans. We always trusted you with our hearts, our lives, and futures. Who will we cling to now that you are gone?

Colleagues and staff said he remained determined to fulfill what he called "the cause of my life," providing health insurance to all Americans. He helped draft legislation to overhaul the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare system and make it available for us all. In honor of Mr Kennedy, let's all try to do the right thing and let him know he made a difference. Let's get something going to make his last cause, our cause.

There never was a grander, more noble hero than Senator Edward Kennedy. All our heroes seemed to have departed for higher ground. I will not let you go quietly. I pledge to do my best on your behalf, Mr Kennedy to fight for and defend healthcare reform. Sadly, it will be without you. I would like to go back to yesterday while you were still with us, still a force to be reckoned with. This day is a fateful, hateful, awful day. I knew it was coming and I stayed in denial, because I can't handle or didn't want to handle the truth. We loved you better and loved you longer than we ever had a chance with your brothers. As we say our tearful goodbyes, loyal friends and relatives wait on the other side joyfully welcoming you. Go with grace to your God. Rest in peace and thank you from grateful nation.

The Lion sleeps tonight!

Eve's Concrete Experience

Eve closed her eyes and tried to erase her mind. There were too many big questions, too much she couldn’t answer. She wanted to relax her mind and escape into a dream that need not make sense. But were dreams earthbound because they were produced by an earthbound body or were dreams touching on the reality of existence beyond the earthbound body? Somehow this concentration lulled Eve into a space where dreams could happen.

Blues and greens swirled around Eve’s thoughts. She realized she was floating in water and she was feeling cool, soothing wetness surround her. This realization grounded her again. By thinking, she bounced back to a perplexing place. Her mind was real estate to frustration.

Once again she let go and began to flow in the river where there were no thoughts, only lightness and moving in liquid existence. As before, she began to think and compare the complexities of thought and the prismatic aspect of everything. That was it, rather than opposing forces, all thoughts were different facets of the same prism. The further away the facet the closer to the illusion of opposition appeared.

She found herself moving swiftly in her dream body. “I’ve got to write this down!” Not realizing that thought alone would change her scenery and she would have what she needed instantly, she unnecessarily turned too sharply around an alter scene and knocked an ethereal resin angel to the floor. She was startled by this action and stopped to pick up the pieces. The angel remained intact except that the wings had been clipped evenly on each side. Her angel was merely a human wearing a golden cape. She picked up the pieces and placed them on the alter. Angel or human, wings or a cape, in some ways it was all the same. It was a lesson in perspective.

Eve relaxed once again and faded into the blues and greens of dissipating thoughts, into the river of timeless space. She observed what she traveled past but allowed only the slightest registration of each symbol or sensation. In this way, she altered the scene as little as possible. She wanted to experience the creation around her rather than changing the flow with her own constant creations.

A growing warmth began pulsating around her face. It spread from her cheek bone to her forehead, ears and chin. It was sensual like an intimate kiss from a far cousin of the sun. The warmth continued to spread down through her neck, out to her arms and continued down through her legs and toes until her entire body was aglow. With this warmth came a feeling of well being and oneness with all. She was a virtual ray of sunshine, nourishing to herself and others.

The scene began to change as if a cloud passed across the sky. It was not a darkening of mood. It brought a subtle excitement the way the promise of rain brings joy to draught ridden farmers, or simply the hot and thirsty or the romantic who seeks candlelight and kindness.

Eve began to experience a cooling and floating sensation inside and with her internal eyes wide open she saw trees, fields, roads houses, churches, schools. The material world as she knew it was below her. She was herself a cloud although she retained her shape.

A feeling of heaviness grew in her body and she wondered how she could stay afloat. In the same instant she let herself go back into the moment knowing that thinking could alter her experience.

She began to feel a pulling sensation on her arms and legs. She looked at them and saw them swollen with a bluish tint. The pulling was not painful yet she could feel the sensation growing more intense. Then with great wonder she saw her fingers and toes start to leak a clear fluid, at first very slowly and then more rapidly like a cloud burst. She was raining on parched land. She was a living cloud.

Eve allowed her self to feel amazement and appreciation without questioning. As she watched her raindrops nourish the scene below she saw flowers, vines, vegetable plants sprouting and saplings growing at a phenomenal rate. Somehow her own life energy was causing the plants and trees to grow.

Her extraordinary vision of nature faded into a swirl of greens and blues with rays of yellow beaming through. Warmth began to return to her face. Slowly Eve began to feel heavy, not in the delightful way in her dream but as if she was a shell being filled with concrete. She began to feel like a human being with finite boundaries and experience. Concrete experience.

Assault Rifles at Town Hall Meetings - You got Shit for Brains

I recently observed the increase in the number of people at Obama's town hall meetings carrying all grades of guns, rifles, and assault weapons. These are health care meetings promoting a plan to take care of all Americans. Are you paranoid enough that you think you need a gun for that? Who are you, Shithead? I was brought up around guns and I learned never bring out a gun unless you intend to use it. It's okay for the hunters to use them if the intend to eat what they kill. Otherwise, it is a defensive weapon, never offensive, unless you are in the middle of a battlefield. The only people who use these in an offensive manner in this country are robbers, terrorists, carjackers, murderers, and thugs. The weapon when used in a threatening manner is certainty offensive. To use a firearm in a threatening manner is illegal. It is illegal to threaten the President of the United States.

Why isn't Secret service stopping these people? It is not all right to have a weapon at protests. These protests are increasingly violent and the presence of firearms makes for a volatile situation. Why don't we get some good old redneck to pass put as much liquor as you can drink and get Sarah Palin to distort a bunch of facts to make them feel they will kill Grandma because it's too expensive to keep her and she is longer productive. That should get "Shit for Brains" fired up!

Ability to work does not equate to productive citizenship. Besides Palin quit her job, she is about as counterproductive as you can get. Counterproductive people are more of a threat to this country than the weak, the aged, the infirmed, the invalid. Counterproductive people maybe should be locked up.

Obama did not make this mess! He's the guy trying to fix it. It was the result of the previous administration in the name of George W. Bush. Unemployment rose to record high, gasoline was $4.00 a gallon, health care failed because too many lost their jobs, Wall Street took all our assets with greed. We are in two wars that was brought on by lies, deceptions, and fabrications of the Bush Administration. Yet people are at townhall meeting with assault rifles defending what? Where were you when there was a real problem?. You people are fucked!

I am a full-time wife and mother, not a productive corporate employee. I am trying to raise a child with real values, look out for the weaker among us, lend a hand when you can. If you can spare the time, the money, give of yourself to others. Be ecologically sensitive. Take the high road, always. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Believe in things bigger than yourself. Do the right thing! It's not too complicated.

Sarah Pathetic has brought about all this hate mongering, racism, fear of the facts, fear of the truth. She is willing to sacrifice anything to get her face on TV. Death squads? My ass! Get a grip on reality. The only death squads I see are these idiots toting guns and ready to shoot anything that moves in defense of what they call their rights. It is an offense to our rights. The people being deprived of health care are dying. They could be your children, your parents, your neighbors who has been out of work for three years. To deny them a right to life is a death sentence. Because you have an insurance plan does not mean you are better than the professional who has been out of work for years and has been foreclosed, drained of all his resources by Wall Street, lost his insurance because he could not pay $1400.00 per month to insure his family. Suicides tell the stories as well as a dying family member who cannot afford to live. If we are the richest country in the world, why can so few afford the cost of living? Cost of living is a literal term. It means the cost of health, the cost of food, shelter, clothing, and gasoline. To deny any of these benefits because you cannot work through no fault of your own is unconscionable. You don't have the right!

Where have all the peace loving, war-weary,law-abiding citizens gone? We need to be the voice heard 'round he world. We believe in helping the disadvantaged, the ill, the aging (we're all hopefully getting there), the invalid, the guy nobody sees or knows. We believe in doing the right thing, not spread fear of the boogie man. The boogie man isn't real. People without money to afford to live is real. Surely we can pull this together and take care of a minority that has no voice because they have no money, no insurance, no home, nobody to turn to. We should do better. Palin, go away. Just shut up. Raise your kids. Take care of your illegitimate grandchild so your daughter can get her education. Write and worry about your son who is a soldier. What if he comes home without arms or legs and half his face blown off? Do we let him rot in a veteran's hospital with rats crawling over him. Hell no! Because that is wrong. Us liberal Democrats are better than that. Sarah, are you?

Blowin' In The Wind by Bob Dylan

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Steps to a Smile - Just a Sweet Thought

Have you ever noticed the many steps to a smile? It starts with the small one with the lips closed but lightly curled. It is the least sincere but sometimes warms up a cool conversation. It is a beginning, and also the smile we see most often. Next comes a broad grin with teeth showing. It is a sunny smile. It looks nice, friendly. Then there is the smile that accompanies light laughter. I can easily get there really quickly. Next, there is the smile of wild abandon, the smile that makes one forget any rules that may apply about laughing too loud or too long. You generally cannot do that with a stranger. Last comes the belly laugh accompanied by the largest smile of all. That is my favorite smile.

Recently, I observed a smile go through these stages and never realized the beauty of the last stage. I saw the face that possessed it and it was a joy to behold. At first, the face showed mild amusement. I smiled back and the smile proceeded to step 2. When another comment was made, it zoomed past stage 3 into stage 4. I laughed, too, and the smile slipped into stage 5, the belly laugh. It was magnificient. All the rules were broken. There has to be absolute trust to laugh this hard with anyone. It is a sweet surrender to boldly lose oneself hard into laughter. The eyes had grown too small to reveal anything during this stage. There is a level of intimacy that must accompany this stage of laughter, a level of deeper understanding of the other. The position of the head and the mouth tell the story. The head was tossed back and the mouth was open wide. The wonderful sound of laughter was emitted, not just any laughter, but uncontrollable laughter.

I think that is my music. It is the sweetest sound in the universe. It is the sound of human companionship and enjoyment of a shared moment. I hope to have thousands of more moments just like that one. I just realized I took the time to really sample the moment. Notice, too. Don't miss that feeling!

Hey Spain, this smile is for you!

Healthcare in America - Have Mercy!

Healthcare should be a Constitutional right. Every American deserves access to the health care system, but unfortunately, the system is broken. We need a system based on mercy as opposed to income. In a country founded on equality, created by revolutionaries who sought to break the ties that bind, we are denying our own a sacred right, the right to life. Income should not be equated with right to life. With medical care prices soaring, only the privileged few can afford such a luxury, the privileged few being those with jobs whose corporations are farsighted enough to provide health insurance. You don't have to sacrifice anything but some compassion. Haven't we advanced far enough as a society to show some respect, some human kindness, some brotherly love for our fellow Americans. A line from the Merchant of Venice comes to mind as Portia fights so valiantly in a courtroom.

The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.

Be blessed. Be giving.

A Fantastic New Miracle Drug - This is not bullshit

As a duty to our loyal readers, we try to stay abreast of new de-velopments in the field of medicine. You people will not believe the latest. I will try to qualify this statement by saying in all truth and sincerity, I am not making this up! Although, it does sound like one of my wild stories, it is real. Latest news indicates that the dye used in the blue m&m's, outside of making them pretty, "may also shine as a possible treatment for traumatic spinal injuries". Notice the quotes, I actually learned and read about this. They injected white rats with this same blue dye and noticed an improvement. They were able to walk again. It should be noted they had a limp.

I have several questions about the use of white mice. Did they use white because the blue would not look right with your standard brown mouse? How did these mice acquire these traumatic spinal conditions? It could not be accidental. In my whole life, I have never seen a mouse with any traumatic spinal injury. Somebody did this. Are Dick Cheney's old torturers finding new work abusing white rats? Methinks I smell a bigger rat torturing the smaller one. It probably is not the same as water boarding, but I am willing to bet it is still gratifying work for these guys. Back to the point, blue m&m's cure spinal injuries. Who knew?

One of the side effects of these injections is that the mice turned blue. I think that is about the coolest thing ever. A healed blue mouse walking around with a limp! If these guys are so smart, why don't they give the mice a cane or a crutch? That would make me happy to no end to see a bunch of blue mice walking around with crutches. Try to get a mental picture here and you will laugh your ass off. If the torturer feels the need to strike again, blue mice or rats with a limp using a cane would not be hard to find.

What if they injected people with this same blue dye? I can see it now, a rehabilitation hospital full of blue people who can walk. If I regained the ability to walk I would not mind being blue, although, I might change my name to Smurfina. If I got a tan, would I turn a darker blue like navy? It is summer and I cannot help but wonder. In winter, would I get a paler blue skin color? It might look festive for the holidays. Either way it is a win-win situation. I had been feeling a back ache and decided to try the blue m&m's. After picking out only blue in a pound bag, I am improved. Now I can dance!

Isn't it nice to see an "intellectual" story coming from me that does not involve aluminum foil and duct tape? I swear this is true. So if you see any blue mice or rats with a cane, lend a hand. They are on the road to recovery. Go blue!

Birthers on Obama- - Hawaii is a foreign country and Jesus could not be president

How many have listened to all the news stories about whether or not Obama should be president due to his being born in the foreign land of Hawaii? It's generally accepted as true among the intellectuals in this country that Hawaii is not a foreign country. Some even remember when it was not a state, but it became the fiftieth state the same year as Alaska before Obama was born.

I take this as a great insult to the state of Hawaii. Aloha to my friends in Hawaii. I know you are one of us, but I am having trouble explaining to the birthers. To even believe Obama was born in Kenya is to believe that Hawaiians are in on a conspiracy to sneak someone in as president or are too stupid to record a birth. I think if either premise is true, all the people of Hawaii are really from Kenya or cannot fill out documents. These birthers believe that you people of Hawaii are either not citizens or are incapable of documenting whether their newborns are even born in their state.

Martin van Buren our eighth president was the first president to be born on official US soil, the first president to be born on undeniable "American soil" because he was born after the revolution when it became legally our country. We allowed seven presidents who were technically born on British soil to be president. If we had done otherwise, we would have to elect a baby as president that was born after July 4, 1776. Some of these disloyal British colonists staged a revolution and overthrew the government. They were called patriots, people who loved their country. But their country was Great Britain. The first seven and ninth presidents were born on what was considered British soil at the time. Alexander Hamilton who once ran for president, and whose picture appears on our currency was not born on American soil. He was born in the British West Indies at Saint Croix. Should we allow these foreigners on our currency? I really don't care.

I see a more serious problem here. It is blatant prejudice and discrimination against people born in other countries. Alexander Hamilton was born in the West Indies but he was nonetheless devoted to our country. Are people less of a patriot of the great United States due to the ground where they were born? Where an individual was born is an accident of birth. We have no control over our birthplace. Not yet born children cannot pick their place of birth nor parents for that matter. To hold birthplace against someone is ludicrous. Should we allow people born elsewhere to even become citizens if they are lesser beings? Obviously, we can deduce that anyone born on anything less than American soil is inferior. Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem, folks, did that make him a lesser being? He would not be allowed to be a president of our country but Timothy McVeigh could if we had not killed him for blowing up a courthouse in Oklahoma.? To imply that anyone not born in this land is and cannot be president is to assume that Americans are superior to the rest of the world. I personally would like to believe it since I am one, but we are not. One of the bases of our country is that all people are created equal. Do we really believe it? I hope so.

As for the pictures of all those old guys, not born on technically American soil at the time, I propose we replace these boring old dudes on our currency with some cute foreign guys like Craig Ferguson who has become a citizen. Sean Connery has a commanding presence and I wouldn't mind having him on the green paper in my purse. The new James Bond guy would sure make money more interesting. I would try to hang onto it longer. Talk about saving money, we could frame it.

I sincerely believe Hawaiians are Americans and are as capable as any state of documenting children born in their state of our country. I think the birthers are morons who cannot read a valid government document. Of course Obama is an American citizen and Hawaiian. Does anyone really believe there is a conspiracy to deceive the American people of his birthplace? If it were, does anyone really care? Besides we wanted change. I truly believe he was born in Hawaii and is a citizen. But birthplace is not the single factor that would qualify one to be president. Majority and electoral votes do. Generally, the majority of people and electoral votes believe he is qualified and is a citizen. We, the majority wish you guys would quit wasting money that might provide health care, disability benefits, food, or infrastructure for the economy. This is squandering time, money and energy. Stop it! Let the media report news and quit this weird speculation.

If Sara Palin were to run for president, would anyone question her citizenship? I would. I would like to see actual documentation that Alaska is a state. I have never seen that. Have any of you?Maybe the whole state sneaked in when no one was looking. IQ and a true devotion to the people of our great land should be requirements. You should be smarter than your average moose. We saw what happened when we elected someone who wasn't. The point is, let it rest. He is not going away and we won't stand for it. Quit your whining and concentrate on the real problems, two wars, health care, unemployment, homeless people, and leave the idiot questions out of the discussion.
